More than two days later the Muslim Judicial Council’s Halaal Trust (MJCHT) has still not responded to a demand that it strips McDonald’s of its halaal certification. It’s over the food outlet feeding the US backed Israeli occupation army as it carries out its murderous project against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Mandla Mandela who is the grandson of former President Nelson Mandela made the call. He told people at a Palestinian rally on Sunday that if they are wondering what they could do of immediate effect is to march onto the officers of the MJC and call on them to withdraw the McDonald’s certification.

The call for boycott has also been made by Hamas. The head of the group’s Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh says called for the activation of the popular boycott of products and goods from all countries, companies, and institutions which are propping up the Israeli occupation and its aggression against the children and women of Gaza. More than 5 700 Palestinians have so far been slaughtered by the Western settler colonial entity.
