A mother and father have allegedly died from smoke inhalation at a house in Woodlands, Mitchell’s Plain.

Two children were transported to hospital.

It’s understood that the family had made a fire in their home. According to the City’s Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse the couple was found unresponsive in the house and declared deceased by medical personnel.

The incident on Sunday comes as the Cape is in the grips of a cold snap.
