Meloni has also strategically used her public addresses to hone in on the economic and “nationalist” concerns of Italians. But her anti-Islam, and anti-immigrant rhetoric during her election rallies provide further insights into a figure that has come to stand for the pro-Mussolini sentiment growing in Italy.
