One suspect in the Abongile Mafalala murder case has turned state witness.

This as five men between the ages of 20 and 36 appeared in court today facing charges of murder, aggravated robbery, and malicious damage to property.

Mafalala was brutally beaten and burned last Monday, when gangsters allegedly claimed that he was attempting to kidnap children in Parkwood.

Residents then turned on the e-hailing driver.

His supporters had converged outside the Wynberg Magistrates Court today, saying that justice must be served.
