A R70 million drug bust has been made at the Durban harbour following months of surveilling vessels coming from Brazil. According to Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe they intercepted and searched this identified vessel. Officers seized 20 litre paint containers and found 200 blocks of cocaine in them.

It’s suspected the cocaine was headed to Gauteng. The police’s national commissioner Fanie Masemola says they are still investigating who the owners of the paint are because there is paperwork and everything. No arrests have yet been made.
