Five men have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a Welgemoed woman in Cape Town.

The 31-year-old who has since been reunited with her family was taken on Friday in Parow Industria after leaving a family business where she works. Her vehicle was found abandoned in Gugulethu.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa says its multidisciplinary Provincial Anti-kidnapping Task Team found the victim on Tuesday afternoon at a house in Mfuleni.

The suspects who are between the ages of 25 and 32 face charges of kidnapping, hijacking, human trafficking and extortion.
