The health system in the City of Cape Town is already being stretched by the new Covid-19 infections. The Western Cape Health Department Head Dr Keith Cloete has revealed that the hospitalization numbers in the city have started to exceed from what was seen in the first Covid-19 wave.
He says they expect this to increase over the next two weeks and therefore they need radical intervention that can safeguard the health care platform over the festive season.
