SHARE

As the famous saying goes its okay not to be okay acknowledges that as human beings naturally the journey of life is up and down.

World Maternal Mental Health Day/week focuses on the mental wellbeing of the prospective mother before inception, during the pregnancy, and after the baby is born.

Research indicates that 1 in 5 new mothers experiences some type of perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMADs), and most times these illnesses go unnoticed and untreated.

That is why World Maternal Mental Health Day/week creates the awareness and highlights the challenges that mothers go through – silently.
