The Israeli Justice Ministry has come under scrutiny for publishing a flawed list of names for the first prisoner exchange in phase 1 of the ceasefire agreement.

The list includes names of previously released female prisoners.

Spokesperson for the Palestinian Commission of detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Thaer Shreiteh said the Zionist ministry’s website listed the birth dates of 10 prisoners without providing any additional information about them.

He added, “This is what we warned about over the past days, and we reiterate our call to our Egyptian and Qatari brothers to put an end to these violations and to deny the occupation authorities any opportunity to create confusion” among Palestinians and the families of the prisoners.

Phase 1 of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Zionist occupation is set to kick in Sunday, 19th January 2025. However, the exact time is yet to be confirmed.
