The Israeli occupation’s attempts to weaken the Palestinian resistance and eliminate Hamas is dismally failing. The head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh says the assassination of the movement’s leaders only strengthen its resilience, and determination for liberation.
He adds that this is the history of the resistance and Hamas. Haniyeh was responding to the Israel’s cold-blooded murder of his deputy Saleh Al-Arouri.

The 57-year-old leader was killed alongside six of his comrades including two Al Qassam leaders in Lebanon. An aerial attack targeted a Hamas office in the southern suburb of Dahiyeh, a centre of resistance.
Al-Arouri had worked both in the political and military fields of the resistance. He had played an instrumental role in galvanising the resistance in the West Bank and establishing the Shalit prisoner exchange deal in 2011.
