Government is being encouraged to expand its view of energy generation and to look towards South Africa’s vast ocean territory. Physicist Professor Edson Meyer believes that immense energy can be harvested from the Eastern Cape’s Agulhas ocean current. It’s believed that up to a million homes could be powered through this.
