More than 100 people have died after an explosion at an illegal oil refining depot in Nigeria.
The bodies were burnt beyond recognition.
The origin of the fire is still unclear. Due to high unemployment rates and poverty, the oil producing Niger Delta attracts businesses to illegally mine crude oil from a web of pipelines, owned by major oil companies.
The dangerous process has resulted in several accidental deaths and pollution to the nearby farmlands, creeks, lagoons, and neighbourhoods.
