Hezbollah’s Media Relations Chief, Mohammad Afif has been martyred.

He was killed during an Israeli airstrike on a building that belongs to the Baath Party in central Beirut. Secretary-General of the Baath Party in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi confirmed Afif’s martyrdom, stating that the ongoing targeting of figures like Afif aims to “silence the voice of the resistance both politically and across all levels”.

Afif was a media figure, not a combatant. Hijazi stressed that Afif only led the resistance’s media unit, but never its military unit.

He added that Israel’s latest attack coincides with the ongoing threats since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, revealing that a detainee accused of working with the occupation had admitted two months prior before being tasked with photographing the party’s headquarters.
