Residents of Galilee Walk in Hanover Park have lost all faith in the police service, as drug-related crime has escalated in the area.

A resident has told Radio 786 says that with the opening of a drug house in the street, violent crime has also increased. She knows of at least two stabbings that have occurred near her home in a short period of time.

The resident says that an abandoned house next to her home has also been subjected to vandalism. She says that this activity has been reported to the police every night, yet no one has responded.

The damage to the neighbouring house has caused water damage to her home.
