Iraqi officials have instructed that all electronic advertising screens be shut down in Baghdad after a hacker used one to show a pornographic film.

The incident happened at a major road junction and videos of the incident were quickly shared on social media.

A suspect has since been arrested. It’s understood that he worked as a technician and was battling financial issues with the company that runs the advertising screens.

During interrogation, he revealed that he acted in retaliation to the company. The pornographic film was aired for a few minutes before officials were alerted and pulled the power plug.

Electronic screening are usually used to advertise products or politicians.
