South Africans shouldn’t be overly optimistic about the Gupta’s being extradited anytime soon to answer allegations of State Capture.

Criminal defence attorney William Booth indicates that this will likely be lengthy legal battle. He explains that the Gupta brothers Rajesh and Atul can challenge their arrest in the United Arab Emirates. They were detained following the issuing of a red notice by the international criminal police organisation Interpol.

The brothers are wanted for alleged graft, fraud and money laundering. It relates to the nearly R25 million Nulane Investment case as well their alleged contribution to state capture under the Zuma administration.
