Is taking a gap year necessary or is it optional?
As many matric learners prepare for the final stretch of their high school career, many of them are finding themselves having to make their first grown-up decision of either studying further or taking a gap year to get a taste of the real world before pursuing higher education.
While gap years generally have negative stigmas attached to it, if done correctly it can fast-track a student’s development before formally going to study further. On the 28th September, the Irshad Institue will be hosting a youth seminar at Masjidul Quds to unpack the realities of taking a gap year – and how to make the most of it.
Guest: Ustaadh Natheer Hendricks – Founder and Principal of the Irshad Institute
