Motorists may be parking their cars as of next week, as they’re about to be hit with another fuel price hike.
A litre of petrol will increase by a whopping R1.46, this as a litre of diesel will go up by an average of R 1.47.
Those using illuminating paraffin have not been spared; the cost of a litre will increase by R 1.21.
Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe says that this has been informed by the international fuel price hikes, and the implementation of Slate Levy.
This has added just over 15c to the fuel price. The Slate Levy now stands at 46c per litre.
