Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been wounded during his protest march in Wazirabad.

He was shot in the leg. According to a senior aide, the attack on Khan was attempt to kill him. Another four people were injured in the shooting.

The 70-year-old was leading a march to the capital Islamabad to demand snap elections after he was ousted in April.

Khan was rushed to hospital in Lahore for medical treatment.
