Five matric learners allegedly raped at gunpoint in the Eastern Cape

At least five matric learners have allegedly been raped and robbed at gunpoint in an area outside Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.

The vicious attack is reported to have been carried out by two men in the Mqhekezweni administrative area.

The office of the provincial commissioner says the head of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Investigations Unit has assembled a team to probe and apprehend the perpetrators.

It has promised that teams will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the criminals are brought to justice.
