The 21-year-old South African female drug mule that was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Sunday has released over 110 suspected cocaine bullets.

According to police, this is more than the average amount of drug bullets that mules intercepted at the airport usually carry.

Police have expressed concern about the involvement of young women in this type of criminality.

The suspect appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrates Court this week.
