The cellphone of murdered top Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear was tracked from 8am to 15h25pm on the day if his murder. It has been revealed that those wanting to eliminate Kinnear tracked his phone 2126 times between May 5th and September 18th.
Head of AGU, Major-General Andre Lincoln was tracked 45 times and even received death threats. Kinnear was shot and killed in front of his Bishop Lavis home on Friday. After paying respects to the family, Police Minister Bheki Cele noted that the tracking of Kinnear and Lincoln shows that the underworld is one step ahead of us, meaning all our lives and those of other detectives investigating high-profile flyers are in imminent danger.
