The Israeli occupation seems intent on preventing any restoration of even the most minimum means of living in Gaza City. This is the contention by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor who has been documenting Israel’s genocidal campaign over the last nine months.

The human rights monitor criticized the occupation for its continued acts of genocide, starvation tactics, deliberate deprivation of crucial medical supplies to help injured Palestinians, kidnapping, torture and forced evictions of residents from their homes and businesses.

The monitor adds that it has received testimonies that the Israeli army uses electronic surveillance devices to identify individuals passing through Salah al-Din and al-Rashid streets which it designated for travel from Gaza City to the southern Strip.

It further slammed the US-backed war machine for deliberately imposing forced displacement on Gaza residents through killing and destroying all essential life components, including the targeting of United Nations (UN) headquarters and committing mass killings there – a violation of international crime.
