High electricity prices have been taking centre-stage across Cape Town. This as electricity prices saw a huge hike at the beginning of July.

It has reached a boiling point where social movements have started to picket outside Eskom offices in Belville, and at parliament.

There also seems to be a lack of understanding on how electricity is priced which also adds to the confusion of why we are paying these amounts.
