An eight-month pregnant woman was shot and killed in Delft last night.
The 18-year-old sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The baby did not survive the ordeal. According to the police, the gunman entered the woman’s home and shot her in her bathroom where she collapsed.
Chairperson of the Delft Community Policing Forum (CPF) Charles George says the woman’s boyfriend was shot and killed last month and she was a witness to his murder. Tensions remain high in the area. No arrests have yet been made.
