The woman who allegedly drowned her four-year-old daughter has briefly appeared in the KwaDukuza Magistrate Court, in Durban.

It’s understood that the woman tied her toddlers hands before drowning her with a bucket of water.

When being arrested, the mother told police that her child was being ‘troublesome’.

The fatal incident occurred last Tuesday.

The magistrate says the accused has another older child who will be severely impacted by this ordeal.

The mother faces charges of murder.
