Dr Omaruddin Mattera more commonly known as Bra Don was an internationalist who cared about people who were experiencing oppression all over the world including Palestine. This comes from one of his close friends Dr Pitika Ntuli who spoke to Radio 786 as a tribute to Dr Mattera’s work. This included his books and poetry that gave a voice to those who were forced not speak under oppression like Apartheid. He passed away yesterday at the age of 86. Dr Pitika Ntuli contends that Dr Mattera fought for the youth and was most concerned of them in the country.
