The community of Leiden in Delft is also calling for more police visibility.

It follows the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old girl and three others including her father in a gang-related incident last week. Delft Community Policing Forum chairperson, Pastor Charles George says however that while the crime problem is growing, so is the area’s population.

He says that the police’s resources have not kept up with this growth. He says as well that the community infrastructure is being vandalized, which makes it difficult for the police to do their jobs.
