Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken

INGREDIENTS

Chicken:

  • 600g cubed chicken
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • Oil for frying
  • Green onions chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Sauce:

  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • ½ cup sweet chilli sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup white vinegar

METHOD

Marinate the chicken in all of the ingredients (excluding the oil) and allow to marinate for 1 hour.

In a non-stick pan cook the sauce’s ingredients together on medium heat until the sauce has thickened.

Shallow or deep fry the chicken cubes until fully cooked, then toss them in the thickened sauce.

Serve with rice, noodles and a garnish of sesame seeds and chopped green onions and enjoy
