Rondebosch-East residents are concerned about the congestion that the proposed mixed development may pose.

It comes as the City of Cape Town has released land at the corner of Kromboom Road and 7th Avenue for mixed-use development. The property is being eyed to potentially yield of 800 residential units among other proposals. However, the public says this area is already dealing with high traffic volumes.

Chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Rondebosch-East Civic Association, Faizel Bardien says that the community is in need of other resources.
