Even Christian-Palestinian pastors were being prohibited from entering Al-Aqsa over the Easter weekend.

Palestinian pastor and President of the Dar al-Kalima University in Bethlehem, Mitri Raheb said that the Israeli restrictions on Palestinians this year were perhaps the toughest to date.

Raheb added that the Palestinian-Christian community that has been in Palestine for 2000 years couldn’t go to Al-Aqsa to celebrate and mark their sacred week.

“Illegal settlers have been deliberately inciting violence against Palestinian Christians, especially clergy members. Incidents of spitting at the clergy even inside Jerusalem have been recorded.” said Raheb.

In this year alone, 43 attacks against the clergy have been recorded.
