The South African Communist Party (SACP) has criticized the last-minute notification given to Chris Hani’s family regarding the deportation of Janusz Waluś.
He was convicted for Hani’s 1993 assassination, and has been on parole since 2022.
The SACP, alongside Hani’s family, met with Deputy President Paul Mashatile and ministers, expressing anger over the parole’s end and the Department of Correctional Services’ handling of the matter.
They have demanded an inquest into Hani’s death for complete justice.
