Could turmeric play a role in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease? A brain disorder that affects the nervous system causing problems to among others movement, mental health, and sleep.
Now it’s believed that turmeric which has been used as a traditional medicine for centuries has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This is found in curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric.
It’s suspected that it may be beneficial in the treatment of Parkinson’s even stave off the disease and possibly even cure the neurological damage it has already caused in patients who suffer from it.
