Over 130 British lawmakers from different political parties have demanded that their government stop arming the Israeli genocidal war machine.

In a letter coordinated by Labour MP Zarah Sultana the MPs call for the suspension of export licenses which allow for the transfer of arms to Israel. They note that there have been two instances – 2009 and 2014 – when London has either halted or threatened to suspend these exports.

But today when the scale of violence committed by the Israeli military is vastly more deadly, the government has failed to act. The UK has been complicit in Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians since the establishment of the settler colonial entity.

It was in fact Britain that instigated the Israeli criminal project in Palestine. The project has involved the murder of the indigenous Palestinian people and the mass expulsion of them from their homeland.
