The body of a 15-year-old teenager that drowned in Llandudno on Friday has been found floating onshore accompanied by a pod of dolphins.
The teen allegedly slipped off the rocks before being swept away by rip currents. She was with a group of friends at the time of the incident.
National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) spokesperson Craig Lambinon says the team along with the SAPS scuba diving unit and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) drone efforts located the body.
“Family and friends have been briefed and they respectfully appeal for privacy in this time of mourning their sad loss,” says Lambinon.
The body of the teen has been taken into the care of police and Western Cape Pathology Services.
