In an ostensibly coordinated move, the banking industry has shut out Sekunjalo Investment Holdings, headed by Dr Iqbal Surve, from holding accounts or doing business. The move has almost entirely blocked the major black-owned corporate from the banking system.
While allegations against the company are vague, bankers haven’t taken similar action against known corrupt businesses. What lies behind their moves?
