A total of seven suspects linked to last night’s murders in Alexandra have been arrested.

Gauteng Premier, David Makhura says that the suspects are locals, aged between 23 and 33, and were arrested this afternoon.

The separate incidents led to the murder of at least six people last night.

The suspects were found in the possession of firearms, cellphones, and ammunition.

Police are investigating the possibility of an armed gang terrorising the Alexandra community.

The premier says that police visibility will be increased following last night’s deadly shootings.
