In a bid to strengthen its leadership, the African National Congress (ANC) has launched a mandatory political education course.
ANC members have until December 2026 to complete the programme, which aims to enhance governance and organisational skills.
President Cyril Ramaphosa introduced the course at a special NEC meeting in Boksburg.
The course is set to be implemented across all ANC structures by January 2025, and includes five modules covering the ANC’s history, the Constitution, and more.
President Ramaphosa emphasized the importance of education in understanding South Africa’s history.
Former Gauteng ANC chairperson David Makhura will lead the initiative.
