Long-serving ANC member Carl Niehaus has been axed.

Niehaus – who was employed by suspended ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule’s office was also a strong Jacob Zuma supporter.

The governing party gave Niehaus until 4pm today to explain why he should not be dismissed. During the time of Magashule’s suspension, and Zuma’s arrest, Niehaus brought the ANC into disrepute while in ANC regalia.

In response, the party said it disagreed with his views and was willing to challenge them in an appropriate forum.
