The much-contested property of Indigenous importance had a protection order awarded by Heritage Western Cape.

However, this order was later overruled by an inter ministerial committee. This was heard during the court proceedings over three days regarding the Amazon Headquarters being built on indigenous land that is important to the Khoisan people.

Despite the pending legal action, construction has already begun.
