Alleged underworld boss Nafiz Modack set to appear in the Cape High Court

Nafiz Modack, the alleged underworld crime boss who faces 122 charges is set to take the stand in the Cape High Court.

The State accuses Modack of being involved in the assassination of top police officer Charl Kinnear. It alleges that Modack used a front company to pay his co-accused Zane Kilian to track Kinnear before he was murdered in September 2020.

A self-confessed gunman and two other co-accused have testified that they acted on Modack’s instruction to commit crimes.

Modack and 14 co-accused face charges ranging from murder, money laundering, racketeering, and fraud.
