An alleged gangster has been killed and another wounded in a shooting in Manenberg.

It’s alleged the two men driving in a white BMW were visiting Second Avenue in Sherwood Park when they came under attack. The 45-year-old driver was fatally shot in the head while the 18-year-old passenger was wounded.

Police spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett says its unclear if they were driving or stationary at the time of the incident but the shots were fired at close range.

A 9mm pistol was found at the crime scene.

No arrests have yet been made.
