The seven suspects arrested for the kidnapping of Abirah Dekhta face more charges, including child pornography. They were also charged under the Prevention of Organised Crime Act for affiliation with a criminal gang.

The suspects are due back in court on Tuesday. Three of the suspects did not have legal representation, and the magistrate asserted that they must have a lawyer before the matter goes forward.

Dekhta family friend, Imdaad Harris has told Radio 786 that they remain resolute in finding justice for their little girl. She was abducted from her scholar transport last month in Gatesville. She’s since been returned to her family.
