Muslims across the World are celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi or Moulood-un Nabi.

The festivities are marked across the World in the third month of the Muslim lunar calendar., Rabbi-ul Awwal.

The history of the moulood dates back to the early days of Islam when people gathered to read poetry and sang devotions to honour Prophet Muhammad, pbuh.
