Humanitarian aid organisation UNICEF has already mobilised 1300 truckloads of aid to Gaza ahead of the ceasefire taking effect.

UNICEF spokesperson, Rosalia Bollen said that at least 700 truckloads of goods would be set to follow immediately.

“Every time I enter Gaza through the Karem Abu Salem (also known as the Karem Shalom) crossing, there are lots of pallets of aid standing there. I’m also expecting the population movement from the south to the north to be chaotic.” said Bollen.

As thousands of Palestinians return to their home towns, the need for humanitarian aid and its operations to adjust has become more intense to accommodate the moving population.
