Palestinian families living from Umm Tuba near Al-Quds are being threatened with forced evictions after Zionist authorities registered 62 dunams of their land under the so-called “Jewish National Fund”.

This places 30 households at risk of displacement.

According to Palestinian lawyers representing the local families, a legal petition was filed stating that the seizure was done without their consent.

The lawyers added that these actions are part of efforts to change the demographics of Al-Quds.

The local governorate has called on international bodies to intervene, and to protect Palestinian residents’ rights.
