Despite deploying more than 50 000 troops from five divisions, the Israeli occupation military is yet to “capture even a single village” or secure any foothold in Southern Lebanon.
This is according to Israeli newspaper, Yedioth. The report attributed this to Hezbollah’s effective tactical strategies, as well as the Zionist military’s struggles with mapping the positions of the Islamic resistance fighters and taking out their drones.
Former advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Colonel Jack Neriya says that the fighters are allowing the occupation forces to advance before trapping them in calculated ambushes.
“The resistance has proven challenging – even for the elite Israeli units, including the Golani Brigade.” said Neriya.
He further explained that this could result in higher Israeli casualties than in any war since the late 1940s.
