The partnership between EBL and GCITI Campus started in 2023.

During that time youth were trained in digital skills, where they received Level 5 certificate from University of Free State – Business School.

In 2024, the relationship was cemented to offer Data Analytics and Cyber Security Training programmes for youth. The demand for both data analytics and cybersecurity professionals is growing. Youth equipped with these skills are better positioned for future job opportunities, especially in tech-driven industries.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for data analysts and scientists is projected to grow by about 31% from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations.
