An Afrikaans teacher at Elsies River High School has been expelled with immediate effect.

It follows accusations of sexual misconduct relating to two pupils. It’s alleged that the teacher made provocative suggestions to learners on WhatsApp and paid learners for not exposing what happened. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
