Teenager arrested for the murder of 16-year-old Deveney Nel

A 17-year-old has been arrested for the murder of 16-year-old Deveney Nel in Caledon, Western Cape.

The Hoërskool Overberg learner’s body was found last week on the premises of the school. She was reported missing after failing to return home from school.

Police say their serious violent crime detectives made the breakthrough. The suspect is set to appear in the Caledon Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
